Teaching

As important as being an artist is to me, so too, is teaching. I love the conversation, whether it relates to student work, to mine, or to the larger world. In the end, it is about art but often, on the way, it is about life and how it impacts on each of us. The exchange beyond one’s self can be incredibly enriching and the opportunity to participate in someone else’s creative process is a provocative and persistent gift.

I teach at The Art School at Old Church in Demarest, New Jersey in the sculpture, ceramics and painting departments. I am also on their Board and a voice in planning school curriculum. Below are some of the classes that I am currently teaching or have taught:
